Parental responsibility and what it means will be the subject for a seminar on Family Law next month.
The event, organised by McCormicks Solicitors of Harrogate, is aimed at anyone dealing with family issues in their professional life and takes place at Harrogate’s Hotel du Vin on Monday 11 April.
Barrister Sally Terris of Park Court Chambers in Leeds will consider the definition and application of Parental Responsibility, including current and recent case law. In addition, she will look at how best evidence can be given by witnesses and experts in children’s matters.
The head of McCormicks Family Department, Amanda Cuthbert, said: “This seminar will be an excellent update on the latest developments in what is a very topical area of law and should be of great interest for people working in organisations and agencies such as children’s centres, advocacy services, social services and contact centres.”
