18 November 2011

Harrogate Operatic Players have appointed leading law firm McCormicks as honorary solicitors.

The Players recent productions include Hello Dolly and Serenade, showcasing songs from shows old and new, including Spamalot, Hairspray and Half A Sixpence.

Partner Geoff Rogers said: “McCormicks has a long history of community involvement and we are delighted to be working with Harrogate Operatic Players whose productions contribute so much to the rich culture of our town.” McCormicks are also honorary solicitors to Harrogate International Festivals and Harrogate and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

The firm’s commitment to the cultural life of the district is underlined by its sponsorship of the next production by Kirkby Overblow Dramatic Society at the end of November. The Society, which won four awards at the Wharfedale Festival of Theatre this year, is presenting “Rumours”, a farce by Neil Simon, at All Saints’ Church in the village from 1-3 December. Tickets are available from the Shoulder Shop.
